FAQ Yoga Retreats

Usually the group size is 14 participants.

Mostly the participants are between 25 and 40 years old. But everyone is welcome!

You are very welcome to sign up on your own and I am sure you will connect with the group right away. Couples are also always welcome.

Even if you are new to yoga, you can sign up for the retreats. Just make sure here that you don’t sign up for the Yoga Intensive Retreats. These are explicitly designed for advanced yogis and yoginis.

I teach mostly in the Vinyasa Yoga style. This can be beneficial for you, whereby you will always be offered an alternative by me.

Most yoga classes are Vinyasa sessions balanced with Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga classes. Please have a look at the weekly schedule of the respective retreat, where the individual hours are indicated.

I will be happy to organize a shared transfer from the nearest airport or train station so that you can get to the retreat location easily and safely. For this, please send me your arrival times after booking.

In the retreats there is generally a vegan-vegetarian cuisine. If you are allergic to certain foods, please contact me beforehand so that I can check with the appropriate kitchen.

Don’t worry. You should understand English only to the extent that you can follow the yoga class.

FAQ Yoga Teacher Training

The question is to be answered on a physical and spiritual level. On a physical level, you should have some prior knowledge of asana practice. This does not necessarily have to be from the classic yoga studio, but can also be taken from other sports.

From a spiritual perspective, yoga is a lifestyle that incorporates elements such as conscious breathing, mindfulness, contentment and compassion. That is, maybe you already practice yoga. If you have signed up for yoga teacher training, just prepare yourself with some yoga poses and our recommended books.

Some beginners may have considerable yoga knowledge and follow a yogic lifestyle, but may not be as advanced in asana practice. Other beginners may have great physical skills for asana practice, but may not have an understanding or knowledge of yoga as a whole. In any case, the training can be suitable if you show great dedication and devotion in learning yoga. Please contact us if you consider yourself a beginner to assess whether it would be appropriate for you to participate in the course. It is important that you practice regularly, have good physical stamina and are physically fit.

Hatha Yoga is a style of yoga that has been practiced for thousands of years. To this day, it is the most widespread type of yoga in the world. Hatha yoga combines physical exercises called asanas with breathing exercises called pranayama. The term is derived from Sanskrit: next to “ha” (sun, power) is “tha” (moon, silence).

Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic style of yoga. The physical exercises, the so-called asanas, are not practiced individually, but are strung together in flowing movements. A unifying element of the styles is breathing: as in Hatha Yoga, the exercises in a Vinyasa Flow should be performed in sync with the breath.

The term “Vinyasa” comes from the ancient Indian language Sanskrit. “Vi” means “in a certain way” and “nyasa” means “to set, place, lay”. That is, the movements in Vinyasa Yoga are composed in a certain way. How exactly, each yoga teacher decides for himself. That’s what’s special about Vinyasa Yoga: no two classes have to look alike. So Vinyasa is a free, creative style.

Yes, if this is the case, you will benefit from the course more than anyone else. Yoga is so much more than just postures and we will show you asanas that adapt to your body.

As long as you can understand English well and speak little, it is not a problem. Most of our students have not learned English as their first language and we as teachers take this into account as much as possible to ensure that the subject matter is understood by all. If you still have concerns, just email me and we can talk about it.

It is recommended to wear white for the opening and closing ceremonies. Comfortable yoga clothing is recommended for the rest of the class with warmer layers for evenings and mornings.

We focus on small groups so that we can take care of you in the best possible way. Usually the group size is 14 to a maximum of 16 participants.

Yes, we organize a joint transfer. Please send us your arrival and departure times.

In the retreats there is generally a vegan-vegetarian cuisine. If you are allergic to certain foods, please contact me beforehand so that I can check with the appropriate kitchen.
